(1897) SC$1 HK-835 Rarity 5. NGC graded MS-68. Bickford Dollar. A sensational near perfect example of this interesting So-Called Dollar. The aluminum portion is blast white while the brass center exhibits a touch of multi-colored iridescence. Pop 2; none finer at NGC. Tied for the finest known. Although Dana Bickford's goal of creating a coin that could be used internationally never came to fruition, the idea is quite intriguing. From a newly discovered unpublished hoard.
